Launched since 2011, HTC Afterworks events are now an expected rendez-vous for the whole HTC Facebook fans community. For 2012, September 27th HTC Afterwork, HTC France and its event agency Moxie have chosen My Check Experience in order to maximize their guests experience and make them the actors of a funny, interactive and digital event.
Before the event, guests sign up on HTC France Facebook page and receive a SMS and an email confirmation including a link to get to the PASS LIKE™ invitation. When arriving at the event, guests show their invitation directly on their mobile phone. 2D code integrated within the PASS LIKE is immediately scanned by the promotional staff then associated, in less than 4 seconds, with a HTC branded RFID card. RFID cards are instantly connected to guests’ Facebook profiles enabling them to share LIVE moments & experiences on the social network and create synergy between real world and virtual world.
Throughout the event, promotional staff takes pictures of the guests using HTC One X smartphones, this mobile phone integrating NFC/RFID technologies. Guests receive in real time their pictures by email to check if their like it or not, if yes they are able in one second to publish them directly on their Facebook profile by ‘checking’ their personal RFID card and share this experience with their facebook friends. This is where begins the viralization process.
